About Propel Us: Propel Us is a non-profit community service Co-operative. Our goal is to reduce the cost of transportation, reduce the cost of housing, reduce the cost of municipal infrastructure, and reduce the environmental impact of transportation. As a co-op, our customers have voting shares in the business. We plan to start our first pilot location with 2 EV cars on the 400 Block of Tranquille Rd.

Survey Purpose: This data will allow us to track changes in driving habits and car ownership among car share drivers and compare that to the control group of survey participants that don't use the car share. This will provide fairly accurate estimates of impacts on economy, environment, infrastructure wear and tear, and parking demand. We hope to demonstrate significant economic and environmental benefits which will help justify funding, and policy that will help us grow Propel Us.

Who can take the survey: This survey is meant to track vehicle use and ownership near the service area of our pilot hub.Therefore, only people that live near the pilot hub are encouraged to take the survey. Only participants within the shaded area of the map will be eligible to win one of the cash prizes. Prizes will be delivered to the address given in the survey.

Use of Data: Personal data collected in this survey will be used by Propel Us only and not shared with any other organization. Aggregate data will be shared and likely made publicly available. We keep a registry of participating houses but will separate this from other survey responses. This registry is kept so that we can follow up with a future survey to measure impacts of the car share.

Data Storage: While the data we're collecting isn't of a highly sensitive nature, we will store it on an encrypted google drive for the duration of the survey and afterward we will still store it securely on a thumb drive. When we’re done with it we’ll delete the digital copy.

Incentive: Fill in the survey to enter to win one of three $100 cash prizes. Odds of winning depend on the number of participants. Only Kamloops north shore residents living within the area highlighted on the map are eligible for prizes. Prizes will be drawn randomly and winners announced on this site by December 31, 2025.
